About The Conference
We are pleased to invite you to participate at the XX Serbian Astronomical Conference (20th SAC) to be held at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade, from 16th to 20th October 2023.
The conference is organized by the Astronomical Observatory of Belgrade and the Faculty of Mathematics (Department of Astronomy). There is no registration fee for registered participants. The official languages of the Conference are English and Serbian.
The objective of the Conference is to cover wide range of topics, such as stellar physics, physics of interstellar matter, stellar and galactic systems, astrometry, dynamical astronomy, planetology, extragalactic astronomy and cosmology, as well as interdisciplinary studies such as astrobiology, astrochemistry, geophysics, atmospheric physics, astronautics, space science, history, philosophy and teaching of astronomy, amateur astronomy, sociology of astronomy, astronomy in arts and culture.
Conference sessions will include: invited talks presented by local and international lecturers, presentations of doctoral and master degree theses that have been completed since the last conference, contributed talks and posters. Contributions presented at the Conference will be published in the Publications of the Astronomical Observatory of Belgrade.
We welcome scientists from all over the world to join us, to present newest studies, to participate in active discussions, and to build future collaborative relationships. A preliminary conference program will be given in the Second Announcement.
